It seemed like a mad idea indeed. But when I really did let the idea fester I realized that it would fill that niche in my life that was calling out for a distraction that would pull me away from those things that really need more attention than I have to give. Namely my four children, their father, and our home. I have attempted to fill this niche with things like Facebook, Google reader, Food Network, magazines, books, 30 Rock and recreational running. And, not to brag, but I have to say that I have successfully managed to waste a LOT of time on these things. And yet, the question remained: was I really wasting enough time on inconsequential pursuits? The answer was a resounding, "YES, YES a million times YES!"
But, it turns out that my husband thought I was asking, "Am I spending too much money online?"
But, that's another post.
The purpose of this post is to make clear that I accept no responsibility at all whatsoever for any and all content herein and henceforth. My lawyer (whose office has recently relocated from the Candy Cane Forest to the foothills of Gumdrop Mountain) assures me that this pronouncement will stand up in any court in the land and that's assurance enough for me. Although I am a little concerned at his insistence that he is not, in fact, a lawyer. But, you know, not a lot of people will admit to being a lawyer so you kind of have to just figure it out on your own.
For the record, Dan E is a lawyer.
